Lanterns for the Outdoors

Lanterns are fantastic equipment for nights of camping or general backyard décor. Whether an evening party or a quite night in the backyard, lanterns provide a pleasing ambiance. Though relatively small they can provide a surprising amount of light. Because they are portable light source, lanterns have played major roles in history. The lantern was used in the Old North Church to signal to Paul Revere. They were also a major source of light before electricity was harnessed. However, afterwards a lantern could work with oil or an electric bulb. Today, lanterns can be quite stylish. Though many still reflect a rustic old-fashion quality, others are quite modern in appearance. One can find lanterns in an endless number of creative styles and forms. Today many are eco-friendly and ultra-safe.
